Today, a regular meeting of the Diplomatic Business Club members took place in Astana, where foreign diplomats and business community representatives familiarised themselves with Kazakhstan's investment opportunities and the upcoming 5th World Nomad Games in Astana.
      The meeting of the Diplomatic Business Club was attended by Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Alibek Bakayev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Islambek Salzhanov, Co-Chairman of the Diplomatic Business Club, Raimbek Batalov, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Chamber of Commerce "Atameken", Kanat Kopbayev, Chairman of YPO Kazakhstan, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Kazakhstan and leaders of the business community of Kazakhstan.
      Addressing the Club members, the Speaker of the Senate Maulen Ashimbayev emphasised that on the initiative of the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a comprehensive reform is being implemented to renew the country. One of today's critical tasks is forming a new economic model for the country's development.
      "Kazakhstan today adheres to the principles of openness and actively develops comprehensive cooperation with other countries in economic, political, cultural, humanitarian and other fields. I am confident that the work of the Diplomatic Business Club will make a practical contribution to the realisation of this task", - said the President of the Senate.
      In turn, Islambek Salzhanov noted that for 8 years of existence, the Club has become a full-fledged informal platform for developing and strengthening interaction between the foreign diplomatic corps and the business community of Kazakhstan in the socio-economic sphere.
      "Thanks to the reforms carried out by the Head of State to reset the political system and socio-economic modernisation, equal opportunities for all to do business are appearing in Kazakhstan. There is a real demonopolisation of Kazakhstan's economy. Strengthening the fight against corruption, establishing the rule of law and fair justice create favourable opportunities for attracting foreign investors to Kazakhstan", - said Islambek Salzhanov.
      In his speech, the Chairman of the Presidium of the NCE RK "Atameken" Raimbek Batalov noted that the Diplomatic Business Club allows foreign investors to find reliable partners in Kazakhstan. This is one of the main directions of this club.
      According to Kanat Kopbayev, Chairman of YPO Kazakhstan, YPO members have cooperated actively with the DBC since its foundation. The priority of co-operation is to build mutually beneficial long-term business relations between countries, and here, the Diplomatic Business Club plays a key role.
      During the meeting, Sayazhan Tuyakova, Executive Director of the Diplomatic Business Club, spoke about the Club's upcoming activities for 2024. These include organising business tours for Heads of diplomatic missions to the regions of Kazakhstan, business breakfasts of diplomats with leaders of the business community, meetings with Heads of state authorities, various lectures and workshops on the investment climate, blockchain technologies and other activities.
      The upcoming 5th World Nomad Games, which will be held next September in Astana, were also presented to the members of the Diplomatic Business Club. Islambek Salzhanov, being the President of Kazakhstan Association of National Sports, invited all DBC members to attend the spectacular ethnic sports competitions.
